About Brentwood Inspect
Home inspections for the Richmond-to-Williamsburg corridor, done by the owner.

Meet Harrison Schwartz
Brentwood Inspect is owned and operated by Harrison Schwartz, a Virginia-licensed home inspector. Every inspection is performed personally — the person you book is the person who shows up, crawls the crawlspace, flies the drone, and writes the report.
- Licensed Virginia Professional Home Inspector — DPOR License #3380002380, New Residential Structure (NRS) specialty
- InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector (CPI)
- FAA Part 107 Licensed Drone Pilot — Certificate #5336282
- UCLA Graduate
Reports arrive the same day through Hive Inspect, and clients are welcome to attend. If something in the report isn’t clear, call or text and Harrison will explain it.
How We Inspect
The most expensive problems tend to be in the places that are hardest to reach. When it’s safe to, we go there.

Backed by Brentwood Solutions Group
Brentwood Inspect is part of Brentwood Solutions Group (BSG), a structural engineering firm that Harrison co-owns. Brentwood Inspect is a home inspection company, not an engineering firm: Harrison inspects and documents, and BSG’s licensed engineers make the engineering calls.
What that means for you: when an inspection turns up a defect that needs an engineer’s judgment, we can document it during the same visit. BSG’s professional engineer reviews and signs off on Engineering Add-On assessments and HUD foundation certifications, usually without the cost and wait of a separate engineer visit.
