Know What You’re Buying
Licensed home inspections serving New Kent, West Point, Charles City, and the greater Richmond-to-Williamsburg corridor.
Why Choose Brentwood Inspect?
Thorough Evaluation
We go into crawlspaces and attics whenever it’s safe to, because that’s where the problems that matter most tend to be. If something needs a closer look, we’ll tell you what and why.
Same-Day Reports
Every standard inspection includes a drone flight over the roof. Your report arrives the same day, with photos and a clear list of what needs attention.
Upfront Pricing
You’ll see your price before you book. It’s based on the home’s size, age, foundation type, and location, with no hidden fees.
When a Defect Needs an Engineer
Some findings call for an engineer’s opinion, like a cracked foundation pilaster or a pier that’s too tall for how it was built. Normally that means booking a structural engineer for a second visit, which adds cost and eats into your inspection period.
Brentwood Inspect is part of Brentwood Solutions Group (BSG), a structural engineering firm. We’re home inspectors, not engineers, so we don’t make engineering calls on-site.
What we can do is document the problem during the same visit, the way BSG’s engineer needs it. With the Engineering Add-On, BSG’s professional engineer reviews those photos and measurements and puts an assessment in writing, usually without a second site visit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to attend the inspection?
It’s not required, but we recommend it. Walking the home with us is the easiest way to ask questions and see what we’re seeing. If you can’t make it, call or text with any questions after you read the report.
Do you actually go on the roof?
We inspect roofs with a drone, flown by Harrison under his FAA Part 107 license. It gets a close look at steep or fragile roofs without walking on them and risking damage to the roof (or the inspector).
How long does a home inspection take?
Most homes take 2 to 4 hours, depending on size, age, and condition. Large or older homes can take longer.
I’m a real estate agent. What should I expect?
A thorough inspection and a report your client can actually use. Findings are described in proportion, so maintenance items read as maintenance, and anything serious is explained plainly with a recommended next step. Reports go out the same day, and you’re welcome to call or text Harrison at (804) 557-0546 with questions.
